New Addition (Not the singing group)

Here are some pics of our new baby boy! He arrived at 7:29 AM on June 27th, 2006. Joyce grows them big because he was 9 lbs .01 ounces and 21 inches long. We haven't decided on a name yet, but we'll keep everyone posted. Mom and baby are doing great! Also included is a picture of Caleb in his Lightning McQeen car. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.

New Cast

Caleb got his cast off on Tuesday. We were so excited!
Caleb and Ken at the orthopedic Dr. office after his x-rays and his cast was removed. They found out his cyst was not healed and he would have to have surgery (drain the cyst and inject a synthetic bone material in it) and wear a cast again.

We took Caleb to Chuckee Cheese on his one free day from the Cast.

That is our week in passing.

I thought I would include a picture of me in the nursery, since we have been so preoccupied with Caleb our new little one has been a little forgotten. We have no idea what sex it is and no idea what name it will have, but hopefully it will sort the name part out soon enough and well we definitely hope the sex part is already sorted out...we just won't know 'til the day of the baby's birth. We went to Lake Norman to have a picnic and let Elliott catch some frisbees in the water. He is such a water dog. It was a beautiful day and we had a really nice time.

Ken's sister, Beth, came out to help me with Caleb. It hasn't been easy for her. She has probaby had her work cut out for her. Believe it or not Caleb can ride his 4 wheeler toy. It's got a powered button he can push. He is pretty amazing with what he can do. He can open doors, turn off the TV, ride his toy, roll over all over, He trys to push his wheel chair and can do a pretty good job. It's amazing how independent he is.

Caleb is doing a lot of Art projects since he has had his cast on. He got this art set from his memaw Williams. We just might incorporate baby announcements with the many art projects we have done over the six weeks in the cast. Caleb is getting pretty grumpy at this point...as I am too. The only one doing better is Ken, he doesn't have to wear the big boot anymore.

Lounge Lizards

Caleb and Elliott had a little time to kill, so they decided to watch a little TV. Joyce wanted me to learn to post on the site, so this is my first attempt. We are at the end of week 4 (I think). Time flies when your having fun! Caleb is quite the trooper. The newness of the cast has worn off and now he has some pretty frustrating moments, especially when he sees the neighbor kids out playing. Last night we had some friends over and Caleb kept calling to the kids on the play set to come and see him. He kept yelling " Hey guys! Remember me? It's me Caleb." Finally my heart broke enough to take him over to the play set to see the kids. Caleb has a Dr's appointment on the 13th, so we will keep you posted.
