BUSY JULY

We had a busy July as well!  My parents were here...although I think my mom took most of the pics and I slacked.
-We had been watching our friends two dogs for about a month.  Our neighbors and our kids seemed to like little Tinkerbell and Ollie.
-Caleb had his belt test and got his yellow belt.
-We went to Sliding Rock in the mountains for 4th of July and saw a little town's (Sparta) parade. My parents have friends that live there in the summer, so we visited them.
-Toby had a Karate Party on the 7th of July.  My parents left right after the party to go back to Kansas.
-we returned the gheco
-We got a puppy!  He is a yellow Lab that our friends decided they couldn't deal with so they said if we wanted him we better take him.  He is a ton of work, but sooooooooooooo cute.  We named him Kodi...short for Wild Alaska's Kodiac Bear.  He is a great dog and he is a lot of fun to hug!
-We spent a week at Myrtle beach with some friends of ours. They were generous enough to ask if we wanted to share their parent's townhouse.  It was such a nice house and so much fun!  We loved the golf cart rides to the beach.
-we also purchased another gheco after we got back from the beach.  He eats well!  It has been very interesting to watch him attack crickets and worms.  Had I known we would be getting a puppy I would not have gotten Toby a gheco.
-Toby got a 2nd degree burn from sauce I was cooking in the kitchen.  We ended up at the ER.  Toby tells me this was the highlight of his summer!  The boy must be starving for attention!
-We still were able to go camping at the new river that weekend and go tubing with our church.  Toby and Ken and Kodi rode in a Kayak.  Ken's parents actually came camping and tubing with us.  They came out to visit for over a week this summer as well!
-Some friends of ours lent us a pop up camper this summer and we have gotten a lot of use out of it.  This is our first year camping much since we have started having kids and the camper makes it pretty compfy. We have loved having it!

BUSY JUNE!

 June was insanely busy!
-Caleb didn't get out of school til June 8th
-He started boyscout camp the very next week
-We went camping at stone mountain and met my parents.  They took Toby home with them for a week and brought him back.
-all the kids went to Vacation Bible school and we celebrated Toby's 6th birthday.  All the neighbor kids came over for ice cream cake and they swam in our pool.  We planned a Karate party, but seriously had I known his actual birthday would've been so fun I wouldn't have had a karate pary.  I couldn't have planned such a great party for him...
-My parents ended up staying for two weeks until Toby's Karate Party.
-Our Neighbors got to be at home this summer so they have been over playing with Leisel and Caleb and Toby.  We have been swimming and playing a ton.

Our neighbor's daughter, who has literally taught Leisel how to play!

Toby got a Gheco for his birthday!  This guy/girl wouldn't eat!  He went a week without eating and we returned him.  You have to fee them live crickets and they were not being eaten, but instead drowning and dying in his cage.

May 2012! exciting title huh?

 Mother's Day!
My first attempt at fondant!  My friend Jessica had a Wicked themed party for her 10 yr old daughter and so we found this on the internet...we added red ruby slippers sticking out...for some reason I didn't get a picture.  It was a lot of work.  I made the fondant myself with Marshmellows.  It tastes a lot better than the stuff you buy.
 My good witch cupcakes!

some outside Play!  New sand in the toybox keeps the kids busy for HOURS!  The build cities and lakes and rivers and castles.  I love to see what they come up with.

Toby's early birthday party at Preschool.
His second graduation.  He also went through the ceremony last year.
