Whoa, slow down little horsy!!!

Our title is a double meaning because we are so busy I just wish we could slow this horse down a bit. Life seems to be going by so quickly. The other meaning is that we went to Lazy five ranch on a wagon ride...so you know-we saw horses. Beautiful ones at that. Hope you all are smelling the roses...We had a late late frost and it killed a lot of our spring flowers....so now we are onto summer.
Easter

Toby and Caleb with their Nana and Papa-who came out to visit for Easter.

Our little soccer player....not really....but doesn't he look cute? At his first game he did a summersault in the middle of the field. Apparently he is in the wrong sport. He got quite a few laughs though.

Toby is still trying to figure out how to get to places. Right now he is doing a bit of yoga called (downward facing dog). He still needs a little instruction on that pose, but I think he will figure it out one day. His yoga actually gets him all worked up instead of relaxes him. He uses another pose to lower his stress level.
Downward, thumbsucking, hair twirling, Toby.

We went to Lazy 5 ranch last week for Caleb's Preschool. We had a nice time. The weather was perfect. Caleb's sometimes can be goofy when I ask him to smile for the camera.

This emu wanted to ride with us on the wagon.

Just so you know, Caleb did not innitiate this encounter.

Caleb loved feeding this baby giraffe.

Lazy 5 has a rhino too, which luckily was not under shelter today.
He's a big guy.

A mama buffalo with her baby buffalo. So sweet and so little! (maybe 50 pounds?)

Caleb with his friends from preschool. Caleb loved feeding the animals. (Ok I thought it was a lot of fun too).

Caleb and I on our trip to Lazy 5 Ranch. You'd think he would want to spend time with his mommy, but I guess he would rather be with his friends.

9 months old & family visit

We have been busy this month. My parents came to visit along with my sister and Addison. We have also had Ken's parents visiting, but the pictures are still on the camera. Toby turned 9 months....and Easter has passed...which will be posted later.

nothing new going on...

Spring is in the air...the daffodils are blooming and the trees are budding...and we are all stricken with allergies to the pine pollen. I haven't really had allergies before, but it makes me feel tired all the time. Toby's tooth came in and then a few days later he got a bunch of hives all over his body. It's still a mystery what it came from. Anyway We are doing good. We are looking forward to my parents and sister/neice coming for a visit. It's going to be a bit chaotic.

Caleb is playing with play doh.
toby wanting to eat.

Ken and Caleb made a shotgun out of wood one night....Caleb colored the gun blue until Elliott ate the crayon.

tooth coming in

Toby is getting his first tooth on the bottom....so he isn't sleeping well and seems to be in a bad mood. Caleb is sick again!!! either that it is allergies...anyway I'm rather sick of Caleb being sick. We are at home today, at least its a beautiful day...Gotta love the daffodils coming up and the wonderful smell of spring, of course that also brings pollin and lots of it. I haven't seen the dusting of it on the cars yets, but it will be here soon. Of course all the trees being cut down here should eliminate the tree pollin soon enough. Anyway I don't have pics for you, but at least I can ramble....hence that's why it's called a blog....deriving from weblog. I'm using big words so that you won't believe it's actually me writing this post.
peace out

8 months old

8 months old...not crawling...lots of babbling...sits great....stands great....sleeps well....smiles a lot....showing ability to get mad....prefers his crib.....

We went to the soccer park for a day...Ken took the day off and we had a great time at the park...
We went to "the melting pot" with our friends Kim & Sebastian....just don't take your children. Toby was not into it at all. The food was really good though. Thanks Kim and Sebastian for a great time.

The spaghetti incident...

Discovery Place. 2/07

Caleb is talking a ton. In fact he is saying the funniest things...he is learning what words are inappropriate like "butt" and "stupid" He is always testing us on what he can say. He changes stupid to "stubaw" and thinks its okay to say.

Caleb and his edible log cabin from pre-school. Amazing what cheez whiz can hold together.

Caleb also went to the Dr for x-rays on his leg and his bone is filling in quite nicely. Caleb told me the other day that he heard God talking to him. I asked him what God was saying to him and he said in a different voice, "Don't jump on the trampoline!" I just cracked up...
Doesn't Caleb look tired? I think it was from being up

all night with his baby...

No teeth yet...

Caleb about the same age as Toby is right now!

Snow hour & 7 months old

7 months...20 lbs...27 inches.
Sometimes being a mommy and holding your baby is little glimpse of heaven because babies are so gosh darn cute. I just love Toby's mushy sqooshy body. One thing that is hard to believe that in no time I will have to tell him "NO" and give him"time outs" . Maybe Toby will surprise me and be an angel his whole life!!!haha.
Here's the happy fella'. It's good to be 7 months.

Here I am with my boys...don't we all look spiffy!!!

Sharing secrets?
I bet Caleb is teaching Toby how to push his mommy's buttons.

We got a little snow. We took these pictures early in the morning before it melted away. It was nice to have our token snow of the year and the whole state shut down. It was pretty funny how what little bit of snow there was it some how gave everyone an excuse to stay home...and buy milk and bread.

Don't they look like they are having fun? Actually Toby loved the snow. He tried to pick it up and play with it. Caleb shivered and wanted to go inside...after he made a bunch of footprints.
What a charmer!

Toby loves his chair/activity table. He is very sturdy sitting up now and stands pretty good with support of course. He doesn't really roll over much, but he does when he gets bored enough.
