Leisel had a great 3rd birthday! We had a strawberry shortcake birthday party for her and invited a few family friends plus my parents came out to celebrate with her. I had all my usual good food to eat: Chocolate covered strawberries of course, chips, mango salsa, quacamole, pinwheels, veggie tray, fried chicken strips....
Leisel loved being the center of attention. She had the most beautiful cake that my friend Claudia made. She did a fabulous job! I actually don't know anyone else who makes it better. Such perfection.
We played pin the strawberry on strawberry shortcake and at the end everyone got glow sticks!!!
Cake time!!! so sad to cut the cake and eat it. That is the bad thing about having such a pretty cake.
My other friend, Jessica, made her this adorable owl towl. She knitted the owl part. So cute. I have the most talented friends.
Leisel also celebrated at her preschool. She obviously loved being the center of attention here, too!
And then on her actual birthday we had a little celebration as well...she made out good and loved all the gifts she recieved. Miss Leisel is such a smart girl! Her teachers at school and church love her and say the nicest things about her...her brothers may not be able to say as many nice things.
These were her gifts from Memaw & E-Pa, Ken and I, and Nana and Papa.
We love you Leisel! You surprise us, challenge us, make us laugh, confuse us, scare us, hold us captive, bring joy to us, keep us hopping, we don't know what our life would be without you!
