One Month Old

One month old. Not 3 or 4, but 1. Toby had his one month check up and he weighs 11 lbs 14 oz. He is 23 1/4 inches long. The Dr. told me I could slow down on the feedings. He was 10 oz bigger than Caleb was at the same age...the Dr. looked it up.
Caleb's Memaw and E-Paw got him a bug catcher and boy did he have fun with it. Here is my proud little hunter holding his bug up. Gotta love little boys and their bugs. I have a friend, who has 3 boys and they like to show us all the little critters they've caught...it's not just bugs, but snakes too. Little bitty snakes....
Here is the butterfly Caleb caught with his bug catcher. They let the poor guy go.
Toby loves the swing...He is almost too big for it anymore, but until he can climb out himself we are going to keep on using it.
Caleb also took this picture. I thought it was pretty good--not the most flattering of either one of us, but pretty much centered.
Caleb took this picture and told me it looked like a "baby in the womb". I think it's his hand covering up the lense.
This is Caleb refusing to smile. Boy they get a mind of their own. We just really thought the outfit was cute. We tell him that these clothes will make him look handsome and he says he doesn't want to look handsome.

baby shower luau-cast off of Caleb

Our church Life Group gave us a baby shower Luau--with good kabobs and haitian rice/mango chutney....and I can't forget the cake....It was a hot day, but I guess we have a few more of those days.
They gave us a few outfits for Ken...I think they might be a little small. J/K
Sweet baby sleeping...missing the Luau.
Love...love...love this picture. We just need my boy Elliott and it would be the entire collection of boys at our house.
No cast in this picture.....
Caleb swimming....We didn't waste any time getting in the water. This was right after his cast came off. Swimming is one of the activities he can do. The Dr. Says for the next 3 months we have to be pretty careful. Of couse Caleb falls quite a bit now and hurts his head. Poor guy.
Here is Caleb in his cast at the Dr. They are about to cut it off. These pics are a little out of order, but how can a person think with such little sleep.
Ken's parents came out to visit this last week. They left Saturday. Ken's poor dad worked the whole time on an antique cabinet for Toby's room. They were a great help. We are so blessed to have two sets of parents, who are willing to come out and help us. We, of course celebrated caleb's cast coming off with ....a cake!!!! Caleb thought it was his birthday. He went around so excitedly saying, "It's my birthday...I'm turning free(3)." The funny thing is he really was becoming "free" in another way.

3 days 'til Caleb gets his cast off

At the request of my mother I am updating the blog. She can't seem to go a few days without seeing her grandbabies.
Here is Sweet baby Tobias sleeping.
once again...sleeping.
Here are the Griffin Four. One thing that is fun with having another boy is seeing Toby in Caleb's outfits. Toby doesn't really look like Caleb did, which surprises me, but he is still adorable as ever.
Here are the proud grandparents! I guess Caleb isn't going to share his little brother with anyone. Of course my parents came out to help for two weeks. They have basically spent 3-4 weeks with us because of the difficult time we have had. We are so blessed that they are available to come out and help. Ken and I really appreciate their help.
Caleb and Toby as brothers.

Little Toby getting his first sponge bath. His cord dropped off when he was two weeks. Toby is a sweet baby ( I know he still has time to change) but for now we are calling him sweet natured.

Caleb loves his Strawberry Pie. It's his favorite dessert.
Caleb is feeding Elliott with a bottle. Elliott is such a sweet dog. He definitely makes things interesting. Caleb loves him. My parents offered to take Elliott home for a month and Caleb overheard it and said,"You can't take Elliott." We are counting down the days--3 to be exact--til Caleb gets his cast off. July 18th is the day. We are so excited.

Home Coming Continued

Here are additional picks of Tobi's homecoming.

Home Coming

We had a home coming party for Tobi on Friday with cake and ice cream. Caleb loves parties! He could wait to blow out the candle.

The Name Game

We finally have a name for our baby boy. We decided on Thursday that his name would be Kenneth Tobias Griffin. He'll go by Tobi. Baby and mom are doing great.
