Back from Jamaica!!!

We just got back from a wonderful vacation to Jamaica. We had a few bad experiences-like one of the hustlers not associated with Beaches tried to rip us off by having us pay $100 for a glass bottom boat ride and when we realized Beaches had a boat he yelled and got quite mad at us and the English couple that clued us in. The english guy called him,"a wanka" (wanker). Overall, the food was great, we had a wonderful time with Ken's family. We got to know Joe better and will always have great memories from our destination wedding experience. It was so much fun! The jamaican resort employees were very nice and friendly. We had wonderful service...I feel like I'm writing an opinion for the resort. We have a ton of pictures. Ken took over 500...but I'm not putting that many on the blog. Lucky for you all. I hope you enjoy the pics.

Josie & Caleb at the beach...

Toby & "Hank" dukin' it out. Toby pokes "Hank's" eye and says,"eye."

The kids "playing chess"

Caleb and I dancing to the Reggae band. After the wedding we had a little reception on the beach. Let me tell you the sand fleas had a main course there (my legs)

My nephew, Henry, 6 months old

Hungry bride.

Beth, Joe, Ken, and I did a canopy tour in the "jungle". It was scary, but a real blast. Ken and I also went para sailing, which was pretty nice
Joe at take off.
Me flying high.
Me, Beth, and Joe in line to take our next leap of faith.

Me and Caleb smilin' bright. No problem, mon.

Our crew at "Kimonos" at the resort.
Ken, me, Mel, and Andy had the privilage of sitting with our children at another table.

I guess we wore Josie and Caleb out! Caleb laid his head down and he was out! It was one of those Japanese places that they cook in front of you....next Josie was fast asleep.

Caleb, Josie, & Collin sportin' their tattoos at the resort.

A visit to the orthopedic Dr.

I just got back from Kansas City for some pre-wedding celebrations with my sister in law (Ken's sister, Beth). I had a great time visiting my parents and Ken's family. When I got home we went to a Dr.'s appt for Caleb's leg. Ken didn't come with me this time and I was expecting everything to be all right, but when the Dr. came in she told me that Caleb's cyst in his bone hadn't gotten better. I was of course chasing Toby and Caleb around the room...it didn't really sink in right there...but she told me they would probably have to do another procedure on his leg. I'm not sure if he would need a cast or not. I don't think he will, but he will still have to be put under general anesthetic. So we have an appointment in November for a follow up appointment. Until then Caleb has to be careful, because his leg is pretty weak. She showed me the x-rays and it's obvious there is a weak spot in the bone.

AUGUST Celebrations

What a month we have had!
First of all our harddrive crashed from two lightening storms that we had in a row. It knocked our lights out too. We are on well water, which means we can't use our water when the electricity is out...makes for an interesting night... like little house on the prairie. The bummer thing about the hard drive is that I lost all the pictures I took in July...I hadn't been able to back them up on the extra hardrive we have. So we have a new computer. We went for a laptop. I can use it much more. The good thing about doing our blog is that I have some pics from the blog. So not all is lost. Trying to work on a postive attitude.
Second of all, Ken got in a car accident and wrecked our Sienna. Basically $10,000 in damage. It wasn't his fault, thankfully and he was only a little sore. We had a white Kia for awhile as our rental and now we have our blue van back.

Ken's 32nd birthday. (August 29th)

We have celebrated two birthdays (Caleb (4) and Ken's (32). We had our 2nd annual Shrimp boil.....and Ken's Parent's came out to visit. Toby is into everything also. Hard to adjust to such an active little guy. So, It has been a very fun and busy August. Our September is going to be even more crazy-Ken's sister is getting married in Jamaica...

"our 2nd Shrimp Boil" the hottest day EVER!

Caleb's 4th birthday (August 18th)

"Help me Tobi One Kanobi! You're our only hope!"
We are officially a light saber family.
Toby doesn't play with any of his baby toys, he just wants Caleb's toys.

Toby loves his doggy. Elliott is the best dog. Makes me sad to think that one day he will be gone. He lets Toby crawl all over him and hug him.

For Caleb's b-day we took him go-carting. He had a blast!
Toby was Ken & Caleb's biggest race fan!
At the go-cart park we went water tubing. Caleb said he enjoyed this more.

Caleb drew a picture of himself killing spiders in his hands. He is getting quite an imagination.

Ken restored a little table, but still has to restore the chairs. They are the perfect size for Caleb and Toby

My mother also celebrated her birthday August 31st. Hope it was a good one Mom. Wish we could have celebrated with you!
