BUSY JULY

We had a busy July as well!  My parents were here...although I think my mom took most of the pics and I slacked.
-We had been watching our friends two dogs for about a month.  Our neighbors and our kids seemed to like little Tinkerbell and Ollie.
-Caleb had his belt test and got his yellow belt.
-We went to Sliding Rock in the mountains for 4th of July and saw a little town's (Sparta) parade. My parents have friends that live there in the summer, so we visited them.
-Toby had a Karate Party on the 7th of July.  My parents left right after the party to go back to Kansas.
-we returned the gheco
-We got a puppy!  He is a yellow Lab that our friends decided they couldn't deal with so they said if we wanted him we better take him.  He is a ton of work, but sooooooooooooo cute.  We named him Kodi...short for Wild Alaska's Kodiac Bear.  He is a great dog and he is a lot of fun to hug!
-We spent a week at Myrtle beach with some friends of ours. They were generous enough to ask if we wanted to share their parent's townhouse.  It was such a nice house and so much fun!  We loved the golf cart rides to the beach.
-we also purchased another gheco after we got back from the beach.  He eats well!  It has been very interesting to watch him attack crickets and worms.  Had I known we would be getting a puppy I would not have gotten Toby a gheco.
-Toby got a 2nd degree burn from sauce I was cooking in the kitchen.  We ended up at the ER.  Toby tells me this was the highlight of his summer!  The boy must be starving for attention!
-We still were able to go camping at the new river that weekend and go tubing with our church.  Toby and Ken and Kodi rode in a Kayak.  Ken's parents actually came camping and tubing with us.  They came out to visit for over a week this summer as well!
-Some friends of ours lent us a pop up camper this summer and we have gotten a lot of use out of it.  This is our first year camping much since we have started having kids and the camper makes it pretty compfy. We have loved having it!
